The BeerLog

One of the directives for ManWeekend II was the institution of the Beer Exchange, or Case Party: Each man could select a beer, for its taste, its local color, or sentimental value, and bring a case along. Everyone could sample the beers brought and each participant could return home with the ultimate sampler pack. Plus, it ensured that there would be plenty of beer on hand!

The BeerLog is the place where the MW guys can share info about the beers we bring to the event. Cheers!

Guinness Guinness
Type: Stout
Brewery: Guinness
Dublin, Ireland
Full, hearty, but smooth. Can be enjoyed at most any temperature, but into a chilled pint glass is preferred.
Guinness is the one sure way we know that the invention of beer was for the common good. Guinness goes beyond the mere notion of "beer": It is a reflection of an entire culture. The words "Irish" and "Guinness" are inseparable. It is the stuff of smart conversation and fellowship. You can float a bottlecap on the head. It's one half of a Black-and-Tan. Boy, do I like Guinness!
