A followup: Since posting I've received some very nice feedback, mostly from the principal players noted above. But I was told of a factual error: Shawn Pearce did not sing with the Dreamers during our probationary period; he was working in a university production of "Godspell". He did join in during our first full membership year (and remained a force in the acappella scene at PSU for over eight more years!)
I would also be remiss if I didn't mention one other name - Chris Goffredo. Of all the Dreamers I sang with at the very beginning, ChrisGo had seemed to vanish from sight for me and others in the group after graduation. Kevin and Doug I had visited once (each) between graduation and the 20th, and Marc could be looked up on IMDB, and we all followed Paul's post-PSU exploits with DaVinci's Notebook. But we weren't even sure where ChrisGo was at this point. So lest he thinks I was making a conspicuous omission, since he was at the Diner on that Saturday night, you weren't in this narrative for a very stupid, silly reason: I didn't want to spell your name wrong! I didn't have the definitive spelling in front of me as I was composing so I erred on discretion. But let me state categorically that ChrisGo is as vital to the history of this group as Kevin or Doug or Lou or Paul or anyone else: He will always be our voice for "Unchained Melody" or "Goodnight Sweetheart". As the kids say: Big mad props to ChrisGo!
